As part of Columbia University’s Community Citizenship Initiative and Phillips Pathway for Inclusive Leadership (PPIL), this intimate discussion will address the current state of anti-racism toward the Black and Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities following a year that exacerbated injustices and inequities within these U.S. populations. Led by Professors Modupe Akinola and Dan Wang, this conversation, which will encourage honest dialogue and offer a safe space for the student voice, will speak to the commonalities and differences in these respective communities’ experiences, and how they can come together to support one another for future action.

Panelists include:

  • Modupe Akinola, Associate Professor of Management and Faculty Director of The Bernstein Center
  • Dan Wang, Associate Professor of Business in Management and Faculty Co-Director of The Tamer Center for Social Enterprise

This event is in partnership with Office of Student Affairs. Attendance will count towards both the mandatory Inclusion and Belonging requirement as part of the Community Citizenship Initiative for first-year students and The Phillips Pathway for Inclusive Leadership community-wide mandate for all MBA students.
