At a time when our devices are becoming our main tool for communicating, listening is becoming a lost art. In this interactive workshop, Adam Bryant – who has interviewed more than 500 CEOs for a series he created for The New York Times and LinkedIn – will share compelling stories and insights from leaders on why it is such an important and underappreciated skill, and share tactics and strategies for becoming a better listener. Master these approaches and you will instantly set yourself apart to business leadership.

Workshop Outline:

1) Overview: Insights on the importance of listening as an essential skill for leadership, providing concrete tools and takeaways that students can put to use right away in their own lives.

2) Mock Interview: A one-on-one interview with Adam to demonstrate the skills in action.

3) Experiential Learning: Students will pair off and, using prompt questions, will interview each other to put the ideas into practice themselves.
