As part of the Under The Tree Series, the Student Leadership and Ethics Board of the Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. Center for Leadership and Ethics invites you to join a luncheon and interactive group discussion on the economic, social, and political aspects of socialism, led by Professor Christian Moser. The discussion will draw on historical and current events from a broad range of countries, including Germany, Sweden, Venezuela, and the United States. Aspects to consider during the discussion are: What is socialism? What different versions of socialism have been implemented? What are the goals and constraints of a socialist society? Should we adopt a socialist system in the U.S.?

About Under The Tree Series

The Student Leadership & Ethics Board has initiated this platform to encourage interactive group discussions among students about the subtle interweaving of ethics and leadership among different industries and topics of interest. Some examples of topics include: ‘Responsible use of customer’s data' and ‘Ethical boundaries on exercising power and influence as a leader’. These discussions are typically led by a faculty member and are held in small groups of 5-8 CBS students.
