As part of The Paul M. Montrone Seminar Series on Ethics, the Student Leadership and Ethics Board of the Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. Center for Leadership and Ethics is delighted to host an intimate dinner with Peter Lighte, Retired Founding Chairman of JPMorgan Chase Bank China. The seminar will explore the importance of ethical leadership and will be moderated by Professor Bruce Kogut.
Peter Lighte is retired founding chairman of JPMorgan Chase Bank China, former vice chairman of Global Corporate JPMorgan Chase Bank, and has been associated with the bank in London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. Previously, he was a founding representative of Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in Beijing, during which time he served as president of the American Chamber of Commerce. Before becoming a banker, Peter taught Asian history and philosophy at Oberlin College, Middlebury College, and the University of Santa Clara.
Peter is currently on the boards of the One Sky Foundation and Prudential Financial and is active in Princeton alumni activities and on the Executive Committee of the Friends of the Institute for Advanced Study. He is the author of two books and is a mosaicist and calligrapher.
He holds a doctorate in East Asian studies from Princeton University.
