As part of Leadership and Ethics Week 2023, the Student Leadership and Ethics Board of the Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. Center for Leadership and Ethics will host a conversation with industry experts on the topics of internet democracy, misinformation, and artificial intelligence in pursuit of trust and safety on today’s leading digital platforms. The discussion will be moderated by Professor Hongseok Namkoong and will address the following questions:

  • How has the rise of digital platforms commoditized and democratized the way individuals consume information?
  • What role can artificial intelligence play in maintaining trust and safety on digital platforms?
  • What is the responsibility of platforms and content creators to manage the ethical consequences of misinformation?
  • How can individuals protect their internet freedoms?
