As part of the Reuben Mark Initiative for Organizational Character and Leadership, Columbia Business and Law Schools will offer small-group advising sessions with prominent business executives and general counsels who are passionate about leading and building companies with outstanding organizational culture.
About Andrew Hendry:
Andrew Hendry is the Retired Vice Chairman, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Colgate-Palmolive Company. Prior to joining Colgate, he served as the Vice President and General Counsel of Unisys, then a Fortune 50 computer and defense company, as well as a corporate attorney for Reynolds Metals and a major law firm and as an Asst. Staff Judge Advocate in the USAF.
In retirement, Mr. Hendry continues his extensive volunteer legal service, including as a Lifetime Member and Advisor on Compliance to the American Law Institute and Honorary Trustee of the Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights under Law. He was the recipient of numerous awards for his service to the law over the years. He is also now serving as a Commissioner of the North Carolina Police Standards Commission. Mr. Hendry is graduate of Georgetown University and New York University Law School, where he was an Editor of the Review of Law and Social Change. He is an active member of the New York and North Carolina Bars, with inactive memberships in the Michigan, Pennsylvania and Virginia Bars.
