About Kristin Bresnahan:

Kristin Bresnahan is the General Counsel of Alpine Roads, a biotech company that is harnessing the power of plants to create delicious and affordable substitutes to animal products using a fraction of the resources.

Prior to joining Alpine Roads, Kristin was the Executive Director of the Ira M. Millstein Center for Global Markets and Corporate Ownership at Columbia Law School, where she led the Center's strategy and growth, including through novel academic research on corporate governance and the capital markets, as well as through innovative engagement with board and business leaders on a wide range of issues. While at Columbia Law School, Kristin was also the Co-Director of the Reuben Mark Initiative for Organizational Character and Leadership, a joint initiative with Columbia Business School aimed at designing new courses and programs that teach the leadership skills and strategies necessary to create an optimal organizational culture, including the critical role of in-house lawyers.

Kristin started her career at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where she worked for over five years on a range of litigation and enforcement matters on behalf of corporate and sovereign clients. Kristin also clerked for the Honorable William H. Walls on the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of AUM Films & Media, a non-profit organization that makes documentary feature films about critical environmental, health and animal welfare issues.

Kristin received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and her B.A. in Political Science and Policy Studies from Rice University. Prior to attending law school, Kristin spent two years traveling to over fifteen countries conducting research on the role of various legal institutions in society, including as a Thomas J. Watson Fellow.
