As part of the Reuben Mark Initiative for Organizational Character and Leadership, Columbia Business and Law Schools will proudly host an intimate dinner featuring Hilary Krane, Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and General Counsel of NIKE, Inc. The conversation with both business and law school students will focus on Hilary’s effective leadership style, and her ability to work across both the legal and business functions of the organization to help impart a strong organizational character.

About the Speaker:

Hilary Krane is Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of NIKE, Inc. In her current position, Ms. Krane leads the global legal, government affairs, security, risk management and community investment teams that support NIKE, Inc. and its subsidiaries Converse, Inc., Hurley International LLC, and NIKE Golf. In her role, Hilary also sits on the Senior Executive Leadership Team of the Company responsible for shaping and driving NIKE, Inc.’s overall strategy. Prior to joining NIKE, Inc., Ms. Krane was the General Counsel and Senior Vice President for Corporate Affairs at Levi Strauss & Company and served as a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Levi Strauss Foundation. Prior to joining Levi Strauss, she was Partner and Assistant General Counsel for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Hilary started her career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom where she specialized in complex commercial and securities litigation, following a clerkship on the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Hilary graduated from Stanford University and received her law degree from The University of Chicago, where she was a member of the Law Review.

Ms. Krane serves on the Board of Directors of the Portland Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Board of Directors of Restoration Hardware and The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.

Ms. Krane is an active member of The American Law Institute. Hilary has also served on the Visiting Committee of the University of Chicago Law School, the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the San Francisco Legal Aid Society-Employment Law Center, the Gender Equity Task Force of the American Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession and the Association of General Counsel Executive Committee.
