As part of the Reuben Mark Leadership Series, Columbia Business and Law Schools will proudly host and intimate luncheon with Elaine Paik ’92, vice president, corporate treasurer and corporate officer for the Colgate-Palmolive Company moderated by Professor Todd Jick. The conversation will focus on the strong corporate culture at the Colgate-Palmolive Company which helped foster Elaine’s successful leadership style and illustrious 27 year tenure at the organization.


About the Speaker:

 

Elaine Paik is the Vice President, Corporate Treasurer and serves as a corporate officer for the Colgate-Palmolive Company. She has responsibility for the company’s global treasury functions including corporate finance, capital structure strategy, pension management, cash and liquidity optimization and risk management. In addition, Elaine leads the global M&A practice and provides financial leadership for venture investments and strategic alliances, focusing on building new capabilities and platforms to generate new avenues of sustainable growth for the company.

Elaine joined Colgate-Palmolive in 1992 and has held roles of increasing responsibility in Colgate’s Corporate and US Finance groups. She earned a BA degree in Statistics from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MBA from Columbia University.

Elaine is a founding member of the Colgate Women’s Network (CWN) which was established in 2004. The CWN is an inclusive network that addresses the professional and personnel needs of Colgate women at all levels and sponsors activities in three core areas of focus – Career development, Work/life Integration and Networking.

Elaine is a native of Taiwan and speaks Mandarin fluently. Elaine and her husband currently reside on the Upper West Side and have two sons.
